ZivaFinance or your bank's app?
The wrong question, really — you'll keep both. Your bank's app is the right place to pay bills, authenticate and freeze a card. The question is whether it can be your overview. It can't, for a structural reason no single bank can fix.
The structural reason: a bank only sees itself
Salary account in one bank. A credit card from another company. The mortgage perhaps in a third, an old savings account in a fourth, funds at a broker. Each app shows its slice, and the total exists nowhere — except in your head, late at night, doing mental arithmetic. That isn't your bank's fault; it is what a banking app is defined to be.
ZivaFinance is built as the counterpart: every account, card and loan from every bank, gathered through regulated Open Banking (PSD2) — one balance, one forecast, one place. Banks in 29 European countries.
But my bank has spending insights now?
Yes — and they've improved. Two honest caveats: they still see only that bank's accounts, and they look backward. A spending report tells you what happened in July. It doesn't tell you whether November works out when the car insurance, the energy settlement and the card bill land in the same week. That is a forecast's job, and a forecast across all your banks is the reason ZivaFinance exists.
The differences at a glance

|---|

| Direction | 12 months ahead | Balance now + spending backward |
| Payments & authentication | No — read-only, can never move money | Yes, that's its job |
| Warnings | AI speaks up before a month gets tight | Balance alerts and spending reports |
| Family | Sharing across banks, five permission levels | Within the same bank |
| Price | Free to start · Premium 99 NOK/month (~€8.50) | Included in the relationship |
The safety point that actually matters
ZivaFinance can never move your money. Open Banking access is read-only and regulated (PSD2), consent is given through your own bank's authentication and can be withdrawn at any time — and your bank's app remains the only place payments happen. The two apps don't compete for the same job; they share it.
The division of labour in practice
- Your bank's app: pay, transfer, authenticate, freeze cards
- ZivaFinance: know how things actually stand — across everything, twelve months ahead

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to connect my banks to ZivaFinance?
The connection runs through regulated Open Banking (PSD2) with your own bank's authentication, is read-only — the app can see, never move — and consent can be withdrawn at any time. Data is stored in the EU and can be fully deleted with one setting.
Does ZivaFinance replace my banking app?
No, and it doesn't try. Payments, authentication and card controls belong with your bank. ZivaFinance does the job no single bank can: gather everything and show twelve months ahead.
My bank already shows spending insights — isn't that enough?
If everything you have is in one bank, and looking backward is enough for you: maybe. If you hold accounts, cards or loans in several places — like most households — the whole picture only exists in an app that sees across.
What does it cost?
Free to start with bank sync and budgeting. Premium — the forecast, the AI coach, family sharing — is 99 NOK/month (about €8.50) or 799 NOK/year. Prices as of August 2026.
